From my journal entry written on 9/16/02"God in Heaven,
Please protect our little one as he lies in the womb. May he or she have all the nutrients needed and be born healthy and without defect. Take care of our baby, for he or she means so much to us. Help us to be good parents and to be ready. We love you and thank you for this precious gift. Love, Eddie."
As I was reading my past journal entries I found this prayer that I wrote when I found out that my wife was pregnant with our firstborn. It was interesting and encouraging to read it again three years later. My son, Andrew, underwent an emergency c-section and was recusitated by doctors who scurried to help him. God answered our prayers. He is a very healthy young boy and has no defects. He is definitely a gift from Heaven.
