Nonviolent Communication Videos

Approximately eight years ago I was introduced to Nonviolent Communication (NVC). The four step process immediately resonated with me.

I recall being entralled by this other way of communicating that involved opening my heart to myself and others. I was hooked and started using the process in my personal life and with my clients. I worked at Family and Children Services and facilitated batterer intervention groups.

It was so encouraging to hear clients come back after learning the process and sharing their positive experiences with it.  Many clients, who had been taught to use power-over and moralistic judgments, radically turned their lives around and started practicing living a nonviolent lifestyle.

For the last three years I have started a process of becoming a certified trainer with The Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC). A part of this process includes writing on 26 key differentiations in NVC. I have chosen to create 26 short videos to share with others. One creative way of using the videos can be as conversation starters for introducing NVC to others. My hope is that others will benefit from my journey and open their hearts to this very special process and consciousness that has changed my life.

The videos can be found on the right hand column of this blog (by scrolling down). They are in the Nonviolent Communication section.

Enjoy!
